Being fifteen years younger than you and a *real* (i. e. post-awkward stage) longhair for now about half of my life, I had fights only with my parents, when I was in my early twenties and still pretty dependent on them... the only offensive reaction in public I gained was somewhen around 2000, from an East German drunkard in a Cologne subway train - preferably, I had him forcibly strapped onto a time machine and sent him back to the good old GDR (and watching him cry for bananas via YouTube Intertemp!).
