I would vote for the after picture hands down. It all comes down to patients. Hair grows at a 1/2 inch per month so it takes time.
Also if you cut it then it will take that much longer to grow to your desired length.
As far as women go, I've had long hair since 1964 and i've been married for 34 years this month.
