Yes, you have awesome hair, so thick and healthy... it would be a gorgeous mane if you grew it down to your waist (or even longer). But...
: I read Bill Choisser's "On Being a Longhair" many years ago, and instantly felt a connection. I am DEFINITELY a Born Longhair; wanting long hair is among my earliest memories. I plan on growing my hair down to my belly button, but one of my friends wants to grow his hair with me to terminal length, which would hopefully be down to my waist or even longer (I wouldn't complain if my terminal length was floor-length or longer, but I seriously doubt it).
...having waist-long hair also was a long-cherished dream of mine, but when I actually grew it out during the 2000s (my thirties), I had to realize that my terminal length, like with most men, is only about mid-back! So better be not too optimistic in your length expectations...
But even at "only" mid-back length, your hair would look fantastic!
