How to feed curls

I have wavy/curly hair and all my life I've avoided the curls and tried to straighten my hair so it was straight but in doing so I was drying it out and damaging it. Now at 46 I've finally decided to keep my hair moisturized with argan and coconut oil and just let the curls do their thing. My hair pulled straight is probably only 4" and it looks a lot shorter not straight but the curls make it look full. Maybe it'll straighten out as it gets heavier with length but I'll continue to keep it moisturized so it doesn't get damaged again.

I make my own hair rinses and shampoo out of edible ingredients like green tea or apple cider vinegar with a little baking soda mixed in with water. Then I add 7 drops of argan oil or 3 drops of coconut oil to the mix. I'm also using homemade flaxseed juice which also has argan oil in it.
