Hey, Avi! Don't sweat it - neither the absence from MLHH due to busy-ness, nor the unintentional hair-pulls. Over time, you'll learn how to protect your hair from being pulled when waking up, putting on a backpack, strapping into the driver's seat, or whatever. In the meantime, you're unlikely to cause it any lasting damage in these pulls. As to learning how to tie your hair back: if you haven't got a female friend with long hair to help you, just swallow your embarrassment and go to the store to buy a package of ponytail ties in the color(s) of your choice, and practice gathering all the hair at your back, slipping it through the tie, then doubling and tripling the tie and feeding the hair back through it, until it's tight enough to hold but not super-tight. It won't hold all day; from time to time You'll pull the tie out and re-tie your hair just like you see girls doing all the time. If your hair isn't quite long enough that all of it reaches through the tie, you have a choice of using bobby pins to secure the shorter hairs, or just letting them fly loose and not worrying about it. (You can also put on a hat, and that will hold them down; personally, I hate wearing hats!) Over time, you'll learn other ways to secure your hair: braids, buns, whatever. You'll also lean how to keep your hair out of your food. Enjoy the journey! - Don
