: : I work in a dirty factory so I have to wash my hair everyday.

: : Here's the deal with me. I have an oily scalp and wavy hair. Not real thick but about normal. IF I use conditioner on it, currently using the cheap stuff. My hair is very manageable out of the shower, but gets dried out the next day and all over the place. Feels crunchy too.

: : If I don't condition. I strictly finger comb it. Forget trying to get a comb through. But my hair feels much softer, appears darker and doesn't clump together as easy. If at all really. I would like to stay on this path but I am concerned with damage in the long run and overall health.

: Hi Michael,
: You could try washing your hair everyday with a diluted shampoo and just condition the ends of your hair. Some people wash their hair with apple cider vinegar and report good results. But you have to experiment with your hair. You unfortunately never said ho long your hair is. This can really make a difference.

: My hair is mostly straight and I cannot go longer than 2 days without washing it. And I don't even need conditioner really. But I do not work in a dirty factory anymore. On the days I don't wash, I just let the warm water run through my hair. I think if you just wash everyday and condition only the very ends, you should be fine. And only use a wide tooth comb to detangle your hair. If the hair is wet, be very careful when you detangle. Hair is at its weakest when wet. Hopefully this will help you.

My Hair is just past my shoulders dry. Been growing for almost 2 years from a fade haircut. I know I am at the point where something needs to change, just need to dial it in. I have tried not washing for a day. As you said, just rinsed with warm water while giving a good massage. Problem is the next day after work, as soon as water hits my scalp, I get a burning itching sensation. I blame the hard water the city supplies us.
