: Well, almost 7 weeks ago I put down the hair dryer because my hair was so damaged that it was breaking and very frizzy. I also started spraying different natural oils mixed with water in my hair. My hair soaked it up and it never looked greasy but the frizzies were gone and the oils started repairing the damage I had done to my hair over years.

: So what oils did I use-only natural and preferably organic oils and 100% pure. Coconut, jojoba, argan and extra virgin olive oil. I have 3 spray bottles and mix them with water but don't mix all the oils together. Here's a list of the bottles:

: Bottle 1: 1/2 coconut oil & 1/2 water
: Bottle 2: 3 tsp. jojoba oil, 1 tsp argan oil,1/2 tsp. coconut oil, 4 tsp water
: Bottle 3: 3 tsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp argan oil,1/2 tsp. coconut oil, 1/2 tsp. peppermint oil, 5 tsp water

: Use a little of one of the bottles each day and spray on the ends of your hair and not on the scalp. Your natural scalp oil (sebum) will oil hair on the head/scalp. Shake the bottle up as water and oil won't stay mixed very long.

: The coconut oil is organic baking oil that right now is a liquid because it's so hot here but when under 76 degrees F it turns into a white paste. Not sure if it will do that when mixed with water. This may not be good during the winter.

: I've read that oil on the hair ends help protect it so that it won't break so easily and reach a longer terminal length.

: What other natural oils have you guys found is good for the hair??

I'm also messing with castor oil and peppermint oil. These are supposed to help the scalp recover so that it can grow hair again. The castor oil, even cold pressed, has a bit of an odor to it that I'm hoping the peppermint oil will cover. It's also thick and sort of sticky. I'm starting out with a 4 oz bottle of castor oil mixed with 3 drops of peppermint oil. This should only be done 1-2 times a week. Get your hair damp with a misting bottle of water and then put the oil mix into your scalp with a glass bottle suction applicator to get it right on your scalp. Massage the oil into your scalp. Keep it on your head for at least 30 minutes before washing the scalp with shampoo and then condition. I put a doo rag on my head while the oil is soaking so that I don't get oil all over. The peppermint oil is supposed to make your scalp tingly. Don't get this stuff in your eyes!

I've been using the castor oil for the last month by itself and don't know if it's helping the back of my head which is where I'm most thin. I did notice hair growing in the front before I started with this oil because I was taking hair vitamins. I think the castor oil is making my hair really soft, though.
