For the last 15 years my hairline in the front of my head had receded on the top sides so that it looked like I had a widow's peak but I wasn't born with one. My hair had also gotten thin in the top back so I figured I was just following the dreaded bald path of my dad.
However it really didn't get any worse and spread. About 5 weeks ago I started taking nature's bounty optimal hair, skin and nails (gel vitamins with 5000 MCG biotin) 3X a day and a couple week's ago I started seeing short baby hairs coming back on my front. My receding hairline was coming forward!! My hairline is still not perfectly straight on my forehead but looks a lot better than it has for over a decade and I hope those baby hairs will continue to spread to the back of my head. But if not, I can't readily see the back of my head! :)
