I’m sorry to hear of your back issues. It’s something that I’ve also had problems with for much of my life. I’m happy to say that I’ve been free of back problems for the last couple of years. The only thing I’ve done differently is that I work my core a ton. It’s possible that is providing more support for my back. I get injured far less than I used to in general. I think it’s a combination of my body finally toughening up and also just listening to it better.

I hope you’re able to find some answers soon. I’m glad that you’re still able to participate by allowing yourself more warm-up time.

Cycling continues to be a passion of mine. I did around 6800 and 6300 miles respectively for the last two years. My favorite way to use my fitness is to do rides in the mountains.

I’m pretty much in a holding pattern with my hair. I keep it around mid-back length. Anything longer than that and the ends get ratty. My hair is fine in texture and I think the outdoor cycling really does a number on it. I can’t complain. I enjoy the hair I have and am content just being a longhair.

Jason
