It should be noted though that Russia is a communist country with a dictator as leader. A dictator who is very anti homosexual. Google the treatment of gays in Russia. It's also a country that squelches free expression. One of the reasons Trump loves Putin is if Putin disagrees with someone he can just have them killed off.
OK, officially Russia is no longer a communist country, we are something like China (a strange cross between communism and capitalism if you can imagine something like this)
men can wear long hair in Russia as long as they are not employed in the state-owned companies - they have very strict dress code. if you work in a private sector nobody cares about the way you wear you hair.
sad to say, yes, current government have very anti-gay stance and we do have some problems with free speech ...
and thank goodness we are a far cry from North Korea, now, that is a crazy country :)
