I think that the point of this board is being ourselves as independently minded human beings. In this context, that independence is expressed by refusing to go along with the twentieth-century "orthodoxy" of having regular haircuts and short hair.

Accordingly, we (or at least I) are not conformists in the type of hair that grows on our heads. My own hair is straight with slight waves and is at mid-back length, and unlikely to grow much more before attaining terminal length. I am thankful at 58 to have what I've got.

We all have different lifestyles, and we are all different in personality and physical characteristics. I sometimes discuss some of the more "philosophical" aspects of being non-conformist, being ourselves and true to ourselves. You can be yourself whether your hair is curly or straight, or even if you are bald and making the most of what you've got on the back of your head.

Just be yourself and have your hair just the way you want it. Perhaps with more length it might gain the weight needed to fall down your back, at least to some extent.

Welcome to MLHH and I look forward to discussion about whatever interests you, be it music, fixing up old cars, whatever. Sailing is my thing along with classical music, and I'm also an Anglican priest. We have someone here who is a Rabbi, and another who is a Roman Catholic priest. We all get on just fine. Welcome!

Anthony
