: I remember reading an interview with Country singer Crystal Gayle, who's known for her floor-length hair. She said that it takes 2 - 3 hours to wash, comb, and dry her hair. She used a lot of absorbent cotton bath sheets to remove as much moisture as possible, and only used a hair dryer if she had to go somewhere where damp/wet hair wouldn't do. Otherwise, it air-dried. Because of the process, she would go 3-4 days between washing. Crystal Gayle is now 66 years old, & has had that famous hair for over 45 of those years, right up to the present day.
That's interesting. I find that I have to delay that long between washes or my hair gets too dry anyway (and mine is only waist length, if that).
