When a friend shared with me the music video at the following link, in celebration of Independence Day, it first wow'ed me with their harmonies. (Plus I'm a non-repentant fan of Country music in general, and Lee Greenwood's song in particular.) Then it struck me that three of the five have long hair...and we had that conversation a few weeks back over whether longhaired men are represented on particular points in the political spectrum. While the song 'Proud to be an American' is not overtly political, it certainly is considered an important anthem among Americans who, shall we say, list to starboard...
