: Holy batman! That is some killer flow man, for real. 6 years is a hell of an accomplishment. Obviously you're committed, but does the desire to cut it back ever wash over you at all still? I know it does with me and mine is about half the length of yours. What's your routine like? Surely washing it and everything requires you to schedule in advance haha.

Holy batman, haha :) Thank you. I'm not thinking of it as that much of an accomplishment, probably because I could get used to it gradually and because having long hair is a normal thing for me. No, I don't wish to cut it short at all. I think that between 2 and 4 years of hair growth, I kind of felt like I'm missing out all the fun you can have with short hairstyles. Or just in general, sometimes I felt like I needed some change, but I always decided to keep the hair long, because I set my priority to long and healthy hair rather than styling or dying it according to fashion trends.

I wash roughly every 5 days, I'm using regular soap instead of shampoo (I can recommend olive oil soap and Aleppo soap), currently I'm using a regular scented soap and it works fine as well. I put the lather only on the scalp and wash the front and the back thoroughly. Then I use apple cider vinegar mixed with cold water as a rinse and leave it in. I condition the ends with coconut oil in the morning and in the evening.
Washing takes roughly 17 minutes and drying takes usually 3 hours, so I wash on the weekend or in the evening, it has become very normal to me :)
I've made a video to illustrate how I wash it, my routine has minor changes described above.
I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Phil
