My partner has a rare disease: Fibromyalgia -- some folks in the medical field don't even consider it a "valid" disease, and yet there's no doubt in my mind that I can see him suffering, especially on the bad days (the disease can vary from day-to-day, as well as week to week). The US Government plays games with people on Disability sometimes, and his case is a good example. I don't feel like typing out all of the gory details here; but let's just say that thank goodness there are lawyers who specialize in taking on Disability cases -- and, thank God, we just got news that he will soon be reinstated!
