I always find it amazing that the females who usually want to have a guy's long hair cut off usually have long hair too. I think the proper response to comments like, "cut it off" is "Cut yours first to the length you want me to cut mine and we will see how that looks first." and to the one who has short hair that (like the over-controling father in this video) wants the hair to be cut, "Grow your hair this long first, and we will talk about how you like it or not and then we will see about cutting it." That should at least buy more time for the person with the long hair to keep it (in a family situation).
The other point here is that Kyan, who seems to be a hypocrite as he has longer hair himself, cuts the guy's hair shorter than his own. No one on the show says that Kyan should get his hair cut. Also to point out, Kyan has a full beard. He is playing up his masculinity while advocating for de-masculinizing another man by dictating his hair length and looks. Kyan is playing into the whole "4 legs good 2 legs better" thinking from George Orwell's "Animal Farm". Kyan is a tool for the establishment.
