: Believe me, brother, I have been there. The awkward stage is a real monster to get through for a lot of people. I have been past that stage for quiet a while now, and I have to say it was worth it and seemed a bit easier for me this time around looking back. Try keeping it under a hat to keep it tamed and out of sight through the awkwardness. Worked a lot for me. I find that I don't wear a hat near as much as did then. I do sometimes when I have it in a ponytail where I pull my hair through the adjustment loop in back of the hat. When I play in my country band on weekends, I let it all hang down. I am a fan of throwing my hair around while playing music, and yes, even while playing country music! Lol! Peace and God Bless, brother. Keep it growing, there is light at the end of the awkward stage, my friend!

Hi David Lee,
Thanks a bunch for the great reply! I think I learned my lesson finally! This will be the third time I have grown my hair out in my life. And I think my hair might even look the best this time around! It seems to have changed in thickness and texture. I usually just comb it back and let it fly-like a true freak flag! And I can tell you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing your hair around playing country music! We love our country music down here in Texas! Of course, nothing wrong with a little rock neither:) I am seeing a dim light right now-hopefully it just gets brighter and brighter!

Peace and God Bless you as well my Brother! Please be well!

Ted
