I thoroughly enjoyed the 50th anniversary of the Beatles this past
Sunday. Sadly there were only a few that still had long hair.
And yes even though the Beatles had relatively short hair in 1964
it was very controversial at the time.
I found it intesting that Stevie Wonder still had long hair even
though his hairline has receeded alot.
Sadly I never got to see the Beatles live in concert, but my wife
was at their concert in Boston Garden.
But compared to those of us who ultimately grew our hair longer the
Beatles never really had hair that was that long. By the 70s my hair was waist length, by the 80s my hair was knee length, by comparison the Beatles only had hair that was a little past shoulder length.
BTW, George Harrison died of cancer, there were a number of
reports remembering the Beatles where they claimed John Lennon
and George Harrison died after being shot. John Lennon did die
of a gunshot, George Harrison was shot but died years later
of cancer. I'm not sure what shows that claim was on but
I wanted to set the record straight on this.
