Thanks Val, for all of your efforts -looking forward to it!

: Hey guys,

: Some of you may remember that, a couple of years back, I corresponded with quite a few MLHH community members by way of interviews, for a book project related to the experiences of long-haired men. I want you to know that I haven't dropped the ball or forgotten about this. Due to a subsequent change in employment (albeit for the better), the birth of my youngest son, the loss of a home we owned & the sale of a home we were renting, the start of a home-building project that didn't pan out, and what has amounted to eight (!) total moves in a little more than two years (the last of which happened this past weekend), the writing project has been quietly simmering on the back burner, so to speak.

: I will soon be starting graduate school part-time (and not moving again until I'm done, in about 4 years!), and don't want to again over-commit myself by saying that I'm going to get the book done within the next year. What I would like to say is that I REALLY appreciate the time you all took to provide your thoughtful responses, and that I absolutely WILL see this whole thing come to fruition one day. As I stated, if and when any profit is derived from the project, it will be used to create an endowment dedicated to sustaining the MLHH indefinitely. In the meantime, I am planning on editing the responses I received into a somewhat consistent format and creating a temporary website or blog on which to share them.

: I'll keep you all posted as this progresses, but just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I haven't forgotten, and you're all appreciated!

: Cheers,

: Val
