I am actually not surprised. In December and January, the Earth is closest to the sun. Overall, the southern hemisphere summers would be predictably warmer and winters cooler. (Temperature range will be greater.) Try to get somewhere cool, if you can Scott

Hi Scott - yes = it's a fascinating fact you highlight ... nature & the cosmos never ceases to take my breath away ... from a falling star, to those beautiful crescent shaped 'mini-shadow-lettes' caused by a partial solar-eclipse ... I have 4 x birdbaths just outside my kitchen / dining room window: ( on the farm ) & I have a constant smile on my face as I randomly watch all the varied: ( over 85 species all are present there ) & sundry come & go, day in day out ... & all their tweets of glee as they drink & splash in our heat-wave - water really is this planets secret for success ... cheers to you bud CEM. :O)
