I hated the haircuts but had to put up with them. My "quirks" were seen as bad character traits to be dealt with in the old-fashioned way. Ouch! : That is why I had a special amount of sympathy with this young boy. I saw another video presented by his mother (I don't know what to think about her) and the boy and his academic results have improved with home schooling. : We have to learn to play the social game and compensate with the use of our rational faculties. We are all very different. : Perhaps I was most true to myself, before getting the diagnosis, when I decided to grow my hair and say "to hell with the herd mentality and groupthink". Many who are not autistic came to the same conclusions in the 1790's, the 1860's and the 1960's. Look inwards to find your true self and the universal consciousness, kingdom of God, call it what you want.
