Turned out the long hair wasn't an issue, so that's a plus, I think. : Glad to hear the interview went well. I am glad that your hair was respected. I think in most cases these days, a decent employer in the U.S. will not say anything. I was hired at a fast-food joint and had long hair. They didn't even care if I stuck it out the back of the ball cap. I kept my hair fully covered because it was long. I think slowly as the baby boomers age out of the U.S. workplace that things will change. Most baby boomers were raised by the high and tight generation. As U.S. society slowly demilitarizes things will probably change on the hair front. Medical will probably be the last field to lose the high and tight mentality since they will deal directly with the high and tight generations the longest. Regions with a higher population of older people will also probably be the last areas to lose the high and tight mentality on the whole. Lawyers may never lose the high and tight mentality as they seem to be mostly type-As and tend to believe perceived performance is influenced by their own personal appearance. Private religious organizations are entirely in a : different category altogether. : Those are my thoughts for now. Hope you get a call back for a second interview.
